Sloppy Joes get a healthy makeover with lean ground turkey, carrots, mushrooms, green peppers and whole wheat buns! Serve with green or fruit salad.

1 | Sauté onions, carrot, green pepper and ground turkey in a pan over medium-high heat for 5 minutes. |
2 | Add tomato sauce, crushed tomatoes, mushrooms, barbecue sauce and seasonings and bring to a boil. |
3 | Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. |
4 | Uncover and cook for an additional 3 minutes or until thick. Serve on toasted or plain buns. Serving Size: 1 bun. |
5 | *To lower sodium, use no added salt tomatoes and tomato sauce.* |
