Throwing a Halloween party or looking for a fun trick or treat to pass out? These cinnamon popcorn balls taste great without the guilt! And, the kids can help!
Ingredients:
8 cups air-popped popcorn
½ cup red hots candy
1/4 cup light butter spread
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 (10-ounce) bag marshmallows
Cooking spray
Directions:
1 Combine popcorn and red hots in a large bowl.
2 Melt butter in a large saucepan over medium heat; stir in salt and marshmallows. Reduce heat to low; cook for 7 minutes or until the marshmallows melt and the mixture is smooth, stirring frequently.
3 Pour marshmallow mixture over popcorn mixture, stirring to coat well. Lightly coat hands with cooking spray or water; shape popcorn mixture into 20 (2-inch) balls.
4 Allow mixture to cool enough for kids to handle if they are helping. Popcorn ball will keep for about 3 days when stored in an air-tight container.
5 Yield: 20 popcorn balls. Serving size: 1 popcorn ball.
6 ENJOY!
