The best thing about egg nog, besides holiday warmth is that a small serving is very satisfying due to its richness. Try making this lower fat version at home!

1 | Beat egg, egg substitute and sugar, set aside. Warm milk until heated through- do not boil. Gradually beat warm milk into egg mixture. |
2 | Return to stove and cook over low heat, stirring constantly until thickened. Again, do not boil. |
3 | Stir in vanilla and rum extract and chill thoroughly. Sprinkle with nutmeg and enjoy. |
